2023 Annual Meetings Registration and Accreditation

Registration for the 2023 Annual Meetings is now OPEN.

Attendance to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Meetings is by invitation only. All participants must be accredited in advance of the Meetings. To facilitate accreditation and registration, the participants are divided into different categories, described below. Please determine your registration category and submit your registration request accordingly.

Participants are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Participants seeking access to the Annual Meetings venues, especially on the dates when the security perimeter is established around the buildings, must be accredited in advance of the 2023 Annual Meetings. Participants are required to carry their passports or other means of photographic identification. As Meetings badges should bear the most recent photograph, participants must present themselves to be photographed and obtain their individual identification badges.

Facilities for onsite accreditation are very limited and onsite accreditation is not guaranteed. Please plan your attendance at the Annual Meetings events in advance.

Further information on on-site registration may be provided closer to the Meetings dates.

Registration for Delegates opens on June 16.

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the IMF and the WBG. Delegates are registered through the IMF and WBG Offices of Executive Directors (ED). If you have any questions about Delegate registration, please forward your inquiries to meetingsregistration@imf.org

The clearance process can take up to two weeks. Once your registration has been approved and confirmed (you will receive a separate email titled “Registration Confirmation”), please reach out to the ED office to confirm where and when you may pick up your meetings badge at the venue.

Registration for Observers will open soon.

Observers are the representatives of international, regional, and economic organizations that have been pre-approved and invited by the IMF and the WBG. If you have any questions about Observer registration, please forward your inquiries to observerregistration@worldbank.org.

Civil Society Representatives

Registration for CSOs/Parliamentarians is now closed.

At the 2023 Annual Meetings, CSOs and Parliamentarians will register under one category.

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous peoples movements, faith based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations.

Parliamentarians include Members of Parliament and Senators.

All other participants - such as representatives from the private sector, academia or governmental bodies - must apply for accreditation through the "Guests" or other relevant registration category.

For questions about CSO/Parliamentarian registration, please write to csoregistration@worldbank.org.

Press registration is now OPEN.

Members of the Press with valid credentials are invited to attend the Meetings. All working Press must have Annual Meetings credentials to attend the Meetings. To be accredited, you must present one of the following:

1.  Valid press credentials issued by national or local authorities;

A valid assignment letter from that news organization, or publication, is required. Photographic agencies must provide clear evidence from a client news organization or publication.

If such credentials are not held, or are in question, it will be at the discretion of the IMF and WBG to determine whether access to the Annual Meetings is granted.  If you have any questions about Press registration please forward your inquiries to meetingspress@imf.org.

Guest Registration is now closed.

Please email IMFGuests@imf.org with any inquiries.

Guests are representatives of government bodies, private sector or academia.

All Guests are subject to clearance. Online registration will close on Friday, September 29, 2023. Because the clearance process may take up to two weeks, Guests are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Guest accreditation is not transferrable.

Who may apply as a Guest?

1. Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms who have professional interest in the operations and affairs of the IMF and the WBG.

2. Academia: University professors, researchers, and faculty members who have professional and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the IMF and the WBG. For students interested in attending, an endorsement letter is required from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University confirming status in the University and stating academic interest (Note: Supporting documentation should be submitted with the online application ).

IMF Guests with existing IMF Connect accounts may register here.

All other IMF Guests may register here.

WBG Guests may register here.

IMF Guest or WBG Guest?

Applicants are requested to choose whether they are to be listed as IMF Guests or WBG Guests, based on their focus during the Annual Meetings. The choice of the Fund or the Bank will not preclude access to venues and events at the other institution. Therefore, except for restricted events, all IMF and WBG Guests will have access to both Bank and Fund venues. (Note: Submitting Guest registration requests to both institutions will substantially delay the processing of your application).

If you have any questions about Guest registration, please forward your inquiries to:
