The G30 Spring Seminar on Digital Finance brings together central bank governors, private sector Chair & CEOs, ministers of finance, multilateral institution representatives, and leading academics to debate pressing global economic and financial issues.

Panelists

Kristalina Georgieva is the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the IMF since its inception in 1944. Before joining the Fund, Ms. Georgieva was Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank and also served as Interim President for a time. Previously, she served at the European Commission as Vice President for Budget and Human Resources – and as Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. She was named “European of the Year” and “Commissioner of the Year” by European Voice for her leadership in the European Union’s humanitarian response to crises.

Raghuram Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School. He was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between 2013 and 2016, Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Bank for International Settlements (2015-16) and Chief Economist at the International Monetary Fund (2003-2006).

Dr. Rajan was the President of the American Finance Association (AFA). He received the AFA’s inaugural Fischer Black Prize in 2003, the Deutsche Bank Prize for financial economics in 2013, Euromoney magazine’s Central Banker of the Year award in 2014, and The Banker magazine's Global Central Banker award in 2016.

Dr. Rajan is Chairman of the Group of Thirty and the Per Jacobsson Foundation.

Klaas Knot, Founder, KK Economic Advisory. Professor Klaas Knot was President of De Nederlandsche Bank from 1 July 2011 through 30 June 2025. He served as Chair of the Financial Stability Board from December 2021 - June 2025 and was a member of the Governing Council and the General Council of the European Central Bank, member of the European Systemic Risk Board, Governor of the International Monetary Fund, Governor of the Bank for International Settlements and also member of its Board of Directors.

Heath Tarbert is President at Circle, a global financial technology firm that enables businesses of all sizes to harness the power of stablecoins and public blockchains for payments and commerce. Heath joined Circle after serving as Chief Legal Officer for Citadel Securities, where he was responsible for the firm’s global legal, compliance, surveillance, regulatory affairs, and corporate governance functions. Earlier, he was the 14th Chairman and Chief Executive of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Vice Chairman of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). He was previously Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Markets, concurrently serving as G-7/G-20 Deputy Finance Minister, a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and U.S. executive director of the World Bank Group. Heath has served as a Supreme Court law clerk, associate White House counsel, special counsel to the Senate Banking Committee, and a partner at two international law firms. Heath is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and the American Law Institute. He is also a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association and Council on Foreign Relations. He earned his BS from Mount St. Mary’s University, his JD and SJD from the University of Pennsylvania, and his DPhil from Oxford University.

C.S. Venkatakrishnan, Group Chief Executive, Barclays

C.S. Venkatakrishnan is Group Chief Executive, Barclays. Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Executive, Venkat served as Head of Global Markets and Co-President of Barclays Bank PLC from October 2020 and Group Chief Risk Officer from 2016 to 2020. Prior to joining Barclays in 2016, Venkat worked at JPMorgan Chase from 1994, holding senior roles in Asset Management, where he was Chief Investment Officer in Global Fixed Income, as well as in Investment Banking, and in Risk.
