Kristalina Georgieva is the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the IMF since its inception in 1944. Before joining the Fund, Ms. Georgieva was Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank and also served as Interim President for a time. Previously, she served at the European Commission as Vice President for Budget and Human Resources – and as Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. She was named “European of the Year” and “Commissioner of the Year” by European Voice for her leadership in the European Union’s humanitarian response to crises.
Kristin Forbes is the Jerome and Dorothy Lemelson Professor of Management and Global Economics at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She has regularly rotated between academia and senior policy positions. From 2014-2017 she was an External Member of the Monetary Policy Committee for the Bank of England. From 2003 to 2005 Forbes served as a Member of the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers and from 2001-2002 she was a Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S. Treasury Department. In 2019, Forbes was named an Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She is currently the Convener of the Bellagio Group and a research associate at the NBER and CEPR. She received her PhD in Economics from MIT and graduated summa cum laude with highest honors from Williams College.

Dr. Jörg Kukies, born on February 21, 1968, in Mainz, Germany, is the Federal Minister of Finance since November 2024. He holds degrees in Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago. Kukies spent nearly two decades at Goldman Sachs, rising to Co-Chairman for Germany and Austria before transitioning to politics in 2018. He served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and later in the Chancellery, becoming one of Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s closest advisors. Known for his expertise in financial markets and European policy, Kukies now leads Germany’s fiscal strategy amidst complex challenges.

Rachel Reeves attended the University of Oxford and studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. She later obtained a Master of Science in Economics from the LSE. She was an economist at the Bank of England following the completion of her studies. Rachel first became an MP at the 2010 general election, for the Leeds West constituency. She was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in 2013. She was later elected as Chair of the Business and Trade Select Committee in 2017. Keir Starmer appointed her as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer in 2021. In the 2024 general election, Rachel was elected as MP for the new constituency of Leeds West and Pudsey and was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, thus becoming the first woman to ever hold the post.
H.E. Mr. Federico Sturzenegger is Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation of Argentina, teaches at the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires (UdeSA) and at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is also Professor Honoris Causa at HEC Paris. He received his BA in Economics from the National University of La Plata in 1987 and completed his PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1991. He was a professor at the University of California (UCLA) and at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Previously he was Chief Economist of YPF, Secretary of Economic Policy (2001), president of Banco Ciudad (2008-2013), national congressman (2013- 2015) and governor of the Central Bank of Argentina from 2015 to 2018.
