Kristalina Georgieva is the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the IMF since its inception in 1944. Before joining the Fund, Ms. Georgieva was Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank and also served as Interim President for a time. Previously, she served at the European Commission as Vice President for Budget and Human Resources – and as Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. She was named “European of the Year” and “Commissioner of the Year” by European Voice for her leadership in the European Union’s humanitarian response to crises.

Daron Acemoğlu, Institute Professor at MIT; elected fellow of National Academy of Sciences, American Philosophical Society, British Academy of Sciences, American Academy of Arts and Sciences; and member of Group of Thirty. His academic work covers political economy, economic development, economic growth, technological change, inequality, and labor economics.

Acemoğlu is the author of six books, including NYT bestseller Why Nations Fail: Power, Prosperity, and Poverty (with James Robinson) and Power and Progress: Our Thousand-Year Struggle Over Technology and Prosperity (with Simon Johnson).

His awards include: Clark Medal, 2005; John von Neumann Award, 2007; Nemmers Prize, 2012; and 2016 BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge Award; Carnegie Fellowship, 2017; Global Economy Prize, 2019; CME Mathematical and Statistical Research prize, 2021; ASK Social Science Prize, 2023. He holds honorary doctorates from several leading universities around the world. 

Ian Bremmer is a political scientist who helps business leaders, policymakers, and the general public make sense of the world around them. He is the president and founder of Eurasia Group, the leading geopolitical risk advisory firm, and GZERO Media, a company providing intelligent and engaging coverage of international affairs. Ian is an independent voice on critical issues around the globe, offering clearheaded insights through speeches, written commentary, and even satirical puppets (really!). Ian serves as rapporteur of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence and is the foreign affairs columnist and editor-at-large for Time magazine. He is the host of GZERO World with Ian Bremmer, a global affairs program that airs weekly on US public television. Ian is also a frequent guest on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and many other news outlets globally.

Ian teaches at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and previously was a professor at New York University.

HE Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Upon his appointment as the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in 2017, he become the world’s first minister in this field. In July 2020, his role was expanded to include Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications. In 2023, he was also appointed as Director General of Dubai Crown Prince’s Office.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama holds numerous other leadership positions. He serves as a Board of Trustees member and Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Additionally, he is Vice Chairman of Dubai’s Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy.

His Excellency worked in several sectors including finance, telecommunications, private enterprises, and government. He also developed and executed strategies, risk analysis, change management and scenario planning. His Excellency holds a Diploma in Project Management and Excellence from the American University of Sharjah and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Dubai.
